How to use this test

  1. 01

    Clean the screen gently and let it reach its normal operating temperature.

  2. 02

    Set browser zoom to 100% and use the brightness and picture mode you normally use.

  3. 03

    Start fullscreen mode. Use arrow keys, Space, click or touch to change patterns.

  4. 04

    Observe from your normal position first, then move closer only to inspect a detail.

  • Vertical or horizontal dirty-looking bands
  • Corners that are darker than the centre
  • Pink, green or blue tinting in neutral areas

INTERPRET

How to read the result

Minor variation is common, especially at very dark gray. Judge the panel at normal brightness and distance, and focus on whether it distracts in real content.

LIMITS

Limits of a browser test

Viewing angle, local dimming, warm-up time, room reflections and brightness strongly affect uniformity. Photos often exaggerate or hide the issue.
